Principles Prism

I developed this as a tool to ensure all of the self-development areas of my life were getting regular focused attention.

​Here's how it works. I selected 8 key principles, and placed them around the 8 points of the prism. I would then choose one principle as the main one for that week. For example, Effort. Then every day I would pair it with a different secondary principle, moving clockwise around the prism. For example, Monday = Effort + Growth. I would really try focus that day on how I could put more Effort into Growing, in whatever way that meant to me at the time. Then Tuesday = Effort + Empathy, Wednesday = Effort + Gratitude, and so on.

In the seven days of one week I would make it all the way around with every combination for that main principle. The next day I would start a new week with the next principle. For example, Growth. Monday = Growth + Empathy. How can I expand my empathy into areas that need it? Tuesday = Growth + Gratitude, and so on. It takes 8 weeks to make one lap. 

The 8 points of the prism could be anything you want to focus on. Skills, hobbies, people, habits.
